Projects & Programmes Officer

£40,653 - £43,503 pa

Location: Hammersmith Town Hall

Ref: PO4

It’s time for change at the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Wide-ranging, highly impactful, expertly delivered change. To achieve it, we’ve set up a brand new Corporate Programme Management department within our fast-moving local authority, and now we need Projects & Programmes Officer to join our newly created team.

The Corporate Programme Management department is set to deliver all kinds of projects and programmes in a consistent, budget-conscious and highly professional way. As one of the founder members, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to shape our approach while taking on diverse projects.

Whether it’s a small transformation or a major regeneration initiative, you’ll see that it’s delivered as planned. You’ll maintain high standards for planning, reporting and control, and apply robust governance. And as the new department grows, you’ll build project templates and circulate Lessons Learned. At the same time, you’ll support project teams, helping to define business cases and crystallise ideas. It’s a fantastic way to get exposure to strategy development and project delivery.

Familiar with the end-to-end project lifecycle, you’re adept at project co-ordination. Perhaps you’ve delivered small projects yourself or managed parts of the project lifecycle. You’ll certainly be used to project management tools and techniques, and structured project management frameworks. And as a skilled administrator, you’ll be happy getting things done without constant supervision.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

If you’re ready to build something new and exciting in a challenging, fast-paced environment, please apply …
