Business Change Manager

£50,160 - £53,112 pa

Location: Hammersmith Town Hall

Ref: PO8

It’s time for change at the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Wide-ranging, highly impactful, expertly delivered change. To achieve it, we’ve set up a brand new Corporate Programme Management department within our fast-moving local authority. The department is set to deliver all kinds of projects and programmes in a consistent, budget-conscious and highly professional way. As a Business Change Manager, you’ll have the chance to establish this key capability while building a high-performing team.

As well as embedding capacity for change management within the organisation, you’ll play a central role in the projects that are to come. These could range from smaller transformations to major regeneration initiatives. Whatever the goal, you’ll design targeted interventions that deliver the right result.  At the same time, you’ll manage a team of Change Consultants, who’ll work on high-profile initiatives in various services areas, in tandem with senior staff. You’ll be an adviser and hands-on consultant, ensuring the team succeeds by providing guidance, coaching and support.

We’re not just looking for a highly capable Change Manager. We’re looking for a proactive professional who can get our new team off the ground. You’ll be the driving force behind the department’s development, establishing governance and structure, and winning Council-wide support. Drawing on expertise gained in the public sector (and ideally private too), you’ll introduce consistent methodologies and strive for excellence. You’ll also exercise your skills by managing multiple programmes. Confident and motivated, you’ll thrive on the challenge and inspire teams and colleagues.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
