LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT for KS2

FIXED TERM

25 hours per week, 39 weeks

Scale 3/Point 14

Salary £12,357 p.a.

We are a successful, high achieving, multi-cultural two form entry school in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush. We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support for a child with special educational needs in our Year 4 class.  Some experience of working with pupils with language and learning difficulties would be an advantage, as well as experience of working at Key Stage Two in a primary setting. You will be supported in your role by the classteacher and SENCo.

This could be an ideal opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching and will allow candidates a first-hand experience of working closely with a school team, focused on raising the achievement and attainment of a pupil with complex needs.

We encourage visits from prospective candidates so that you can see us in action. Please contact Sally Bouwman Assistant Head on 020 8743 4483 to arrange a visit or if you have specific questions about the post.

If you wish to apply, please download the application pack from the job vacancies page at www.lbhfcareers.co.uk or contact the School Business Manager Natasha Joahill on sbm@ststephensce.lbhf.sch.uk or visit our school website www.ststephensce.lbhf.sch.uk to download the application pack.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and appointment will be subject to references and enhanced clearance by the Disclosure & Barring Service.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability or sexuality. St. Stephen’s CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
